Thank you Thursday at Reuben’s Brews was a big hit last week and a great opportunity to raise a pint to support Groundswell NW while spending the evening with fellow green space supporters, friends and neighbors. Thank-you for supporting us at this event and thank-you Reuben’s Brews for donating $562 toward our mission!
We took a moment from our festivities that evening to snap this pic to congratulate Gemenskap Park for winning a Best Of West Woodland Neighbor’s Choice Award for “Best Neighborhood Project.” The East Ballard Community Association and Groundswell NW have been championing this unique park project along 14th Ave NW for over 10 years and we are so excited to recently hear that designs are almost finalized and ground breaking could happen by early next year!
If you missed us at Reuben’s be sure to seek us out Aug 27 at the 15th Annual Sustainable Ballard Festival and enjoy your NW Seattle Parks as you ride through the neighborhood that same day during Ballard Summer Parkways. The 17th Ave NW Greenway is along this year’s route, so be sure to check out the wee crooked house that just popped up at the 17th and Dock parklet.
