Groundswell NW is announcing a new microgrant program. Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, Groundswell NW will be awarding up to $500 each to support community members who are starting projects that support Groundswell NW’s mission – creating community, parks, and habitat. Projects are preferred to be in NW Seattle, be a new project, and have an inclusive group and invite the public to participate. The project should involve the creation and/or maintenance of public parks, habitat, or green space or involve education about a topic or project related to Groundswell’s mission.
The Groundswell NW Startup Microgrants are open to formal and informal neighborhood and grassroots community groups.
An application is available on the Groundswell NW website – www.GroundswellNW.org/microgrants
Applications are accepted year-round. Applicants are notified of award decision within four weeks of application submission. Quicker approvals may be possible. Grants are awarded at the discretion of the Groundswell NW Board of Directors.
