Baker Park Makeover Print E-mail

25 Microsoft employees, organized by Eric Bailey, came for a miracle makeover of Groundswell's Baker Park on Friday, September 12, 2008 as part of United Way's "Day of Caring."  The event was orchestrated by Jody Blecksmith and Miriam Preus from the North Division of Seattle Parks and Recreation.  Andrea Faste joined the group at 9 AM and provided some historical background on the Park, as well as a plug for this fall's renewal of the Seattle Parks Levy.  It was fantastic to have so many eager volunteers in the park at one time.  We did some major pruning and weeding, as well as rebuilding the path and seating area around the totem pole. Please check out the pictures provided by Eric Bailey.
