From Catherine Darley, Board President

That crisp feeling is in the air now that fall is here.  It's still beautiful outdoors, and a great time to enjoy our local Ballard parks.  Not only is it a pleasure to be outside with friends, or enjoying nature on your own, it is actually good for your health!  Some of the positive health effects include less stress, lower blood pressure and improved thinking ability.  Below are many opportunities to get out and get involved in our local parks.  You can also find a map and listings of the many Ballard parks at http://www.groundswellnw.org/projects-map.html.  As the weather turns colder, I hope you continue to take advantage of our clear days to get outside!

Catherine Darley, Groundswell NW president
