News from Groundswell NW – June 2008

Salmon bay natural area dedication

Saturday, June 7, 2:00pm – 4:00pm

34th Ave NW & NW 54th St

(west of Ballard Locks and east of the railroad bridge)

Join Seattle Public Utilities and Groundswell NW for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Salmon Bay Natural Area’s newly constructed public plaza and overlook deck in Ballard.

We invite you to join us for an outdoor barbeque, live music with the Susam Harper Conspiracy and Reckless Abandon, and fun-filled festivities.

Over a decade in the making, the Salmon Bay Natural Area protects the last stretch of undeveloped wooded land along Salmon Bay. This shoreline  provides a refuge for juvenile salmon as they migrate through the bay to Puget Sound.

For catering purposes, please RSVP by email to Holly McCracken at holly.mccracken@seattle.gov if you plan to attend.

ProParks Levy Meeting
